Hear My worship - Jaime Jamgochian
As I was writing "Hear My Worship," I felt like the Lord was asking me to be transparent and truly real before him. Do you ever try to pray but feel like the words are just bouncing off the ceiling back into your mouth? I think sometimes it’s because we are not being honest with ourselves or the Lord. Maybe this is the same in the area of worshipping God in our lives.
The chorus ends by saying, "Beyond this bended knee beyond the words I speak beyond the songs I sing Hear My Worship, All that my heart can bring this is my offering Jesus my Holy King, Hear My Worship." More than any song we will ever sing or any words we speak to one another, it is my prayer that our hearts and lives would bring Jesus honor and glory in all that we say and do.
I make it a point to ask the Lord each day to teach me how to worship Him through every situation. I still fail a lot in this area and sometimes I let worry or my own selfish desires to become my focus, but the Lord is always after a humble heart. As we admit our need for Him and the desire to grow in this area, I believe that He will shape us into the worshippers that He says He is looking for….those that will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. I hope some of these thoughts have encouraged and challenged you in your walk of worshipping the Lord. There was a song written several years ago that so eloquently states this topic, "Heart Of Worship," by Matt Redman.
