You are what you think ? ..

You are what you eat... Do I agree?
eh... I hope i am as healthy as what i eat...but what i eat is sometimes boring... oh... just like me ... sometimes is boring..

What about... You are what you think?

mm...speaking of Henry Morgentaler (the abortion-rights activists who recently received the Order of Canada recognition) with Viv today... My comment from my phil class, Henry Morgentaler's motive was to save women who were butchered in the unregulated back-street abortion... My comment ended there...

But think about it, if that's true. It's rather ironic eh.. the intention of Morgentaler was to save lives by killing lives? He wanted to create a safe(r) environment for women to have safe(r) abortion? His initial intention was to provide such service to those who got pregnant from being raped? ...so that's his self-justification. and now.. ppl might choose to abort because their fetus is detected to be abnormal or believed to be affected by HIV... Have we had debate on such topic? Should there be exception where abortion becomes acceptable or even right to do so? I think, for me, abortion is never a moral act or a right thing to do. What would I say if someone has a seemingly compelling and strong reason to choose to do so? ... my phil class doesn't give us an answer what would be considered morally right in the current world. I guess it's not necessary either. However it gave me the impression that the society has lost the ability to tell what's right or wrong. Judgments/choices should really be varied by contexts, the external? ? What about a pregnant woman who got hit in a car accident and saving her or the unborn is the decision to make? Although this is different from actively seeking abortion, it's a choice to make.

...

I agree with one's opinion that...
The unborn is a valuable human being regardless of conditions. S/he's an innocent life that has a right to life. How s/he's conceived and how s/he will be developed to.. doesn't determine her/his value, instead, the moment s/he's come into existence. To kill someone because s/he is a burden? to kill someone because the father is a criminal? to kill someone because s/he's unwanted? ...

Are we what we think...?
Does what we think direct what we do...?
oftentimes, we think in one way.. but we choose to behave in another way..?
What about what we believe? ... is it hard to live out what we believe?

One thing I am so sure of is that I definitely don't think Morgentaler should be praised by the government being an abortion activist/abortion doctor. what does that imply when he's honored with his "achievement"? so we are to judge the value of a human being? killing innocent lives is something to be boasted about in the society? (one-child policy? I hate it and despise whoever put it into practice.)

Sometimes, maybe it's really difficult to take a stand in some really controversial issues. In today's world, laws are open for abuses.. there are many grey areas.. many things being debatable.. people find ways to justify their own deeds..

I believe, individuals have the power to change the world.
I believe, I am what i believe
What I choose to do reflects who i am.
and ... God is always in control of everything.

I pray that Thy will be done,On earth as it is in heaven ...
