Rolling stone

I was in my bed.. not sleeping.. but simply turning.. back and forth..  it reminded me of rolling stone, not the group but just the term. I felt like a rolling stone..

I set a goal for myself today. I am aiming to finish a research paper, at least the most of it. This one has been quite a struggle for me throughout the term. It's about using statistics analysis to evaluate causal effects. It's certainly not as easy as it sounds.

I basically suck at statistics since undergrad and was trying all the time to avoid it. I only took 1 mandatory statistics course to fulfill my computer science degree.  Who knows ... I would get back to school .. and face it again.

This time though, it has made me appreciate the power and the beauty of statistical analysis.   The subject in our field is called Econometrics, using statistical methods to study Economic relations or other causal effects.. relationships. At the beginning of my research,  I had problem finding a suitable topic, then i had problem finding the data.. (though I should have thought about the data when i decided on the topic.. ), then I switched my topic and went back to the beginning of .. doing everything all again.  hahha.. it has been fun.

It will continue to be fun.
