For my internship in May - Aug next year, I will have the opportunity to choose basically.... where I want to go (Canada or overseas) and what I want to do (research & analysis, food chain related jobs, development projects in developing countries..) , ... within the program's radar.
Initially, I thought I would just wanna stay in Vancouver.. yes... that would make things so much easier since my life has been here.. It'd be even better, if the company were a prospect for my future employment. That's the safest option I guess. ?
But if I wanted the the safest option, I wouldn't have quit my job and come into this program. I have thought about going overseas. I see that as an opportunity to really train myself up for future challenges. With that, there are generally 2 kinds of choices I am considering.
First, go to a place which would allow me to be exposed to more intense competition and learn about more vigorous business models and technologies. For that, HK i think would be a good place to go. Since it's so close to home, I could possibly live at home and travel to HK to work. I think the distance and time would possibly be similar to what takes me to go to UBC now? ... After all, I have been away from home for so long too... It'd be good if I can spend some time at home..
Second, go to a developing country to get involved in a development project. That'd probably be the opportunity to allow me to learn the most about life. ... and be in touch with the most needy. but who knows, maybe I am the most needy ...
Today, I was surprised to know that... a person I know has become a journalist photographer "with a camera running around a beautiful world".. capturing the moments.. 讓心靈震撼的 moments..
....
Thankful for the opportunities.. what's ahead..
...
May God grant us health, wisdom and strength...
May God teach us how to love.. and care..

wow... may God grant you wisdom to make a decision that would open up a whole new world for you!
