When it comes to driving... I have not got the "luck".
But I don't need the "luck"... it's not about "luck".
When i went out to the road test.. my uncle wished me "good luck" ..
When i signed in for the test, the staff there wished me "good luck"...
Before I went out to the road, I prayed. I prayed for peace in my heart.. and prayed for safety.
...
I think i did quite ok.. throughout the test... (I think)
When we got back to ICBC office, the examiner asked me to go straight and park (rather than do a back in parking) I knew I didn't pass the test. it was disappointing... then, I was told that.. I drove 60km/ in a 50km zone.. (i couldn't recall i did that...) That's a speed violation which is sufficient to disqualify me. I was also told that I sometimes break abruptly on the left turns.. (I really don't think my break was too abrupt)...That's something to do with my skill.. though I think that's also to do with my Bobo's sensitive breaking and acceleration system/pedals.. I have nothing to say.. I shouldn't blame on my Bobo. so there were 2 reasons to disqualify me. Yet, the more I think about it.. the more I don't think I have failed? haha.. ai... Should I blame on my bad "luck" that I got a very strict examiner? (this is just my subjective opinion.) I'd rather accept the fact that I have something i need to work on..
... I guess it's ok now. I will just do it again. After all, I have done 2 written tests to get the L.. and 3 road tests to get the N... how many times do I need to do to get rid of the N? hope it's not 4. (It must not be! it's so expensive to take the test!) It should drop back to 2.
I know I am probably not a skillful driver yet but
I can be a good driver.

A stricter examiner usually motivates people to be a better driver. I will not wish you good luck for your next exam, because by that time, you should have the skill to pass the exam.
ReplyDeleteagree with prev commenter. the exam should be an indication if you can drive safe or not (note for myself too), therefore, put more effort and be more careful next time!
ReplyDeleteI do agree that passing exam involves luck, especially driving exam. It's rather subjective in my opinion. Some examiners are stricter than others.
ReplyDeleteBut no worries, I think you are a good drive. Just ... you do go a bit fast at times...It's no fun to get speeding ticket with your N plate. I know...law is stupid, driving 50km/h on No.5 w/ no cars around is stupid...but that's life. Cops just like to get more income, that's how I view it...
