Riski-er ... Risk-er

Since Beijing Olympics.. you have probably noticed that Bell has been running their new Ad campaign where they make "good" use of er. I have asked Erico if she knows what those "er"'s are about. like what's the concept behind? .. I don't think we have figured that out. Maybe they just want something to stick out in people's minds. but it seems to me... "er" implies improvements and changes. e.g. better, faster, eaiser, and Apple eater. The er thing is a bit silly and very mysterious, but, on the other hand, it's definitely an attention catcher.

along with er... i think of something... Do you know what I am thinking of? =p haha..

So.. it's been more than 2 months since Enoch camp but the journey of changes haven't stopped which in fact will never do. I was a bit lost or mind-exploded when i went to the camp. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect from the camp either. There's no way I could prepare myself for it anyways. If you asked me why I went ... I could tell you it's just because I believed that God had prepared something great for me.

You know.. in the camp, it's my first time playing Capture the Flag! I had such a hard time understanding the rules. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do during the game, but I wanted to something useful. It's easy to fetch the water.. so i was glad to do so even it's wet and exhausting. But it's easy only at the beginning. When your opponents got the balloons and tried to secure the water with them... you could be pretty stuck. I tried to be the defender of our team our land. Like you just needed to watch out for those who's waiting for a chance to sneak in. But yea, when they got the balloons, they didn't need to wait anymore, they could just invade our land and driving our defenders away... How come I never got a balloon myself? ... I think the most fun part of the game when i played it was when I tried to steal a flag from the opponent's land. I ran into the safe zone and grabbed a flag successfully. I tried to get back to my land with the flag. but of course, the opponents wouldn't just let me go easily. I was waiting for a chance to sneak out. At some point, my teammates who were prisoners started talking to me and asked me to rescue them. then, a conversation started among my prisoned teammates, me and the opponents who were on guard for me. ... I was totally confused because I wasn't sure if i was allowed to rescue them.. at the meantime, i was looking for a chance to get out with the flag... ... ...along with my confusion and indecision, Time was up. After the game, one of my teammates said to me, "I think maybe you could sneak back when they (the prisoners and opponents) were talking". ...

What was i thinking when i was on the spot waiting to get my way out? I wanted to get the flag safely back to my land. I didn't want to be caught... I didn't want to make my teammate worry about rescuing me afterwards... Could i really rescue my teammates who were prisoned. I wanted to play it safe...but what should/could I do? ...

I didn't fail because i did something; I failed at taking a risk to do anything possible. I realized, I was less a risk taker than I was before. When I thought I had more to lose, I became scared to make any move. I wanted to move on however, every move I made risked something I had. Such a dilemma. I had the flag. I wanted to send it to our land, but I was scared that I might be caught, then I would lose not only the flag but my "freedom". ...

But you know what, the greater thing you wanna do, the greater risks it takes. This is what I believe. ...

... this is getting to long.. maybe i should make a temporary ending here.
